Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ Cast and Director Discusses Film Info

Image
Although it only lasted a week, writer-director Rian Johnson was successful in getting a wide theatrical release for his Netflix film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. But he also lost one that was directly related to it. It turns out that Johnson prefers the title “Glass Onion” over the subtitle for his mystery-thriller starring Daniel Craig. “I’ve tried hard to make them self-contained,” Johnson told The Atlantic, pointing to Glass Onion and its forerunner, Knives Out, which was released in 2019. “Honestly, I’m pissed off that we have A Knives Out Mystery in the title. You know? I want it to just be called Glass Onion. I get it, and I want everyone who liked the first movie to know this is next in the series, but also, the whole appeal to me is it’s a new novel off the shelf every time. But there’s a gravity of a thousand suns toward serialized storytelling.” Other Show Johnson also discusses the difficulties of concluding a film that is a part of a larger saga, including his 201...

Meghan Markle’s Reps Dismissed 1 Apology Statement from The Sun

Meghan Markle’s camp flatly rejects The Sun newspaper’s apology for Jeremy Clarkson’s hateful and derogatory column. It seems the royals are in no mood to accept anything less than a proper display of remorse from those who help spread offensive and bigoted media content about their colleague. On Friday, December 16 (the day after the long-awaited release of the Harry and Meghan docu-series), Clarkson (of The Sun) sent social media shockwaves with his rather candid take on the Duchess, proclaiming that he didn’t like her. After receiving a barrage of criticism, The Sun took down its article on Monday and apologized for its insensitive content. They humbly expressed that they were “sincerely sorry” for offending so many readers. On Saturday, a rep for Markle boldly dismissed the Sun’s apology as a dishonest attempt to win back public favor. “The fact that the Sun has not contacted The Duchess of Sussex to apologize shows their intent,” the statement said. “This is nothing more than...

Investigation Committee Looks Into Uprising, Finds Trump Guilty

Image
The panel of the U.S. House of Representatives that was looking into the uprising that took place on Capitol Hill on January 6 called for the filing of four criminal charges against former President Donald Trump on Monday. This included obstruction and incitement to rebellion — due to his role in fomenting a deadly revolt that resulted in death. In a historic move, the Democratic-led select committee has asked America’s top attorney general to investigate Trump. More than 1,000 witness statements and hundreds of thousands of documents were collected to support this landmark prosecution claim. As the special counsel oversees two separate federal investigations into Donald Trump and his administration, a new request has been made to U.S. prosecutors that could lead to new lawsuits against those involved in President-elect Joe Biden’s victory the year last. This includes the improper handling of classified information in the White House itself. Last week, the committee called on the Justi...

Britney’s Father Jamie Spears Shares Side of the Conservatorship Story

After a decade of silence, Jamie Spears has spoken out in defense of her conservative role over daughter Britney’s much-publicized battle with mental health. Jamie, father of pop star Britney Spears, gave a heartfelt interview with The Mail on Sunday about the end of his conservatory. He noted that without this legal settlement over 13 years, he wasn’t sure that his daughter would still be with us today. “Not everybody’s going to agree with me,” Jamie stated. “It’s been one hell of a time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. Where would Britney be right now without that conservatorship? And I don’t know if she’d be alive. I don’t.” He added: “For protecting her, and also protecting the kids, conservatorship was a great tool.” “Without it, I don’t think she would have got the kids back.” Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline have two teenage sons, Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16. After a tumultuous relationship between Jamie and Federline in 2019 — whic...
